The Lebanon Library's Young Adult "Teen Space" is a special, very active place. It is a room on the second floor of the library where teens meet to talk, to read, to use the Internet, to do homework, to work on a project or to see a film! Teens are an important part of the Lebanon community, and the Lebanon Public Library welcomes them!
Teen Advisory Board: The Teen Advisory Board offers suggestions on YA programs and practices in the Lebanon Public Library. The Teen Advisory Board members are Heather Brayboy, Simone Gordon, and Carly Jennings. The Board meets the first Thursday afternoon of each month. Contact YA librarian Susanne (448-2459) for more information.
The Teen Room offers good books to read, comfortable chairs to relax in, and a great view of downtown Lebanon! The walls are covered with colorful murals - done by young people - that illustrate themes of fantasy and science fiction that appeal to this age group. What do Teens read? Check out these Best Books offered by the Young Adult Librarian Services Association - and check for New YA Books added to the Lebanon Public Library collection monthly.
In the Teen Room, there are two Internet computers (although any library patron may use these computers)
Because Teens have many interests at many different levels of reading, Lebanon Public Library offers a special collection of Young Adult (YA)books, and also sponsors a variety of Teen Programs. Come and see what we have to offer!
