Movie Night at Kilton

Come on down to the Kilton Public Library’s Community Room for our monthly Thursday night film series. Films are shown on the last Thursday of the month. Movies start at 6:00. Admission is free and open to the public. Popcorn provided!

All discussion groups will take place on the 2nd Thursday of each month– in the All Purpose Room of the Lebanon Public Library, 9 East Park Street.

All books from this series can be obtained at the Lebanon Public Library.

 Granite State Reads: New Hampshire Fiction for Summer Reading

May 9   Look to the mountain– LeGrand Cannon –a young couple in Revolutionary War era New Hampshire struggle to build a new life in the shadow of Mt. Chocorua.    June 13 The Old American– Ernie Hebert—Based on an actual 18th century abduction, this novel focuses on the relationship between white captive Blake and his Algongkian master during the French and Indian War.   July 11 Aunt Sarah: Woman of the Dawnland by Trudy Ann Parker—a fictionalized biography of an Abenaki healer and basketmaker who lived to age 108 in 1931.   August 8  The Dearly Departed—Elinor Lipman  A light comedy of manners set in small-town New Hampshire, as tangled relationships unravel.

On Summer Vacation.  It will resume in the fall.

A lunchtime adult book discussion group. Bring a brownbag lunch and a book that fits the month’s theme for a banquet of books and opinions. Twelve noon, the first Thursday of each month, October through May at the Kilton Library Conference Room.
